The Friends of the Edmonds Library (FEL) has officially launched our annual membership drive, and we’re hoping you’ll join us as a member!
We need you, fellow Edmondtonians, to help us achieve our membership goals. We’re looking for at least 200 individuals, families, and/or businesses to join or renew their memberships in FEL and we’re hoping we can count on you. Here’s why your membership matters:
- FEL encourages community championship of the Edmonds Library. We promote library services and raise funds for library programs and amenities not covered by their operating budget. Our members are critical advocates in this work.
- FEL annual revenue has been severely impacted due to COVID-19. Over 70% of our revenue historically comes from member-operated book sales and community fundraising events. We have had to cancel all planned sales and fundraisers due to COVID-19 and are uncertain when we can resume these central activities. Your membership dues help us remain financially solvent, so we can continue to invest in the library, along with other advocates of literacy and learning.
In addition to memberships, we also welcome financial donations of any size. Please learn more about our member benefits and consider donating or joining us today. The cost is minimal, but your impact is immense.
