Algie has an interdisciplinary background in biological sciences, higher education, public health, education policy, energy justice research 
and performing arts. She is an advocate of lifelong learning, clean air, and sustainable living. During her downtime, you can find her lounging with her cats, a cup of tea in one hand, and reading materials in another. Her reading list may include gardening, baking, education, sustainability, arts, biographies, knitting, and more. She is a biophilia interested in human-centered design for a sustainable future.
