In my 42-year career as an educator, the best years were spent as a teacher librarian in elementary schools in the Mukilteo and Edmonds School Districts. Partnering with public libraries was always an important part of the work. My past board experience includes many years as a board member for teacher’s unions, a decade as treasurer of the local soccer referee association , and a term as board secretary for the Seattle Storytellers Guild.
